Set a countdown timer in your browser with quick presets, a progress bar, the time left in the tab title and an alarm sound when time is up.
Quick answer: To set a timer, pick a preset such as 5 or 25 minutes, or type hours, minutes and seconds, then press Start. The time left shows on screen and in the browser tab title, and an alarm sounds at zero.
Enter the details the tool needs, then review the result before using it.
Use the controls above, check the result, then copy or download it when available.
Press the 25 min preset and then Start. The Pomodoro method alternates a focused 25-minute session with a short break, commonly 5 minutes. When the alarm sounds, press 5 min for the break and Start again.
After several rounds many people take a longer break. Change the times to whatever suits your work.
| 1 min | Short breaks and quick tasks |
|---|---|
| 5 min | Breaks and warm-ups |
| 10 and 15 min | Short study or work bursts |
| 25 min | One Pomodoro focus session |
| 30 and 45 min | Meetings, classes and workouts |
| 60 min | Longer tasks |
The timer measures time from the browser clock instead of counting ticks, so the time left stays correct even if the tab is hidden, and the display catches up when you return. The alarm uses your device's sound, so it needs sound enabled and the page open.
Browsers can slow hidden tabs to save power, which may delay the alarm by a moment. For something critical such as medicine or travel, also set an alarm on your phone.
Press Start once with the volume up so your browser allows sound. The time left also appears in the tab title, so you can watch it while you work in another tab. Turn Sound off if you only want the countdown.

Yes. It measures time from the browser clock, so the time left stays correct. The alarm can be delayed if the browser slows a hidden tab.
Use this tool whenever you need: Cooking, study sessions, workouts, meetings, breaks and any task with a fixed time limit. It offers a fast, client-side workflow without sign-ups, installation or complex software.
Yes. All processing executes locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your inputs, files and calculations remain private and are never uploaded to our servers.
Press Start once so your browser allows the alarm sound, keep the tab open, and turn the volume up before a long countdown. Important note: It is a browser timer, not a system alarm. If the device sleeps or the browser slows a hidden tab for a long time, the alarm can be late.
Press the 10 min preset, then Start. You can also type 10 in the Minutes box.
Not reliably. Browsers can pause or slow pages when the screen is off or the tab is hidden, so for important reminders also use your phone's own alarm.
Each browser tab runs its own timer, so you can open this page in two tabs for two countdowns. Each tab plays its own alarm.
Once the page has loaded it keeps working without a connection, because nothing is sent to a server.

The time left also shows in the browser tab title.
05:00
The countdown follows the browser clock, so it stays accurate if you switch tabs. Keep this tab open and the sound on so you hear the alarm; some browsers slow background tabs.
